What is Talipes?

Talipes is an umbrella term meaning abnormal foot and ankle. Some baby’s feet do not look or move as expected. Common conditions referred to as talipes are positional talipes, metatarsus adductus, and clubfeet. These conditions give different problems and challenges for the feet. They also require different management and treatments.



What treatment can Kids' Physiotherapy provide?

In most cases simple stretches are all that is required to manage the more straight forward presentations of talipes such as positional talipes. For the more complex or fixed conditions such as congenital talipes equinovarus (clubfeet) Kids Physiotherapy offer serial casting and all non surgical elements of the internationally recognised Ponseti method.
